Post #5:Inst. 4010-Copyrighting

So in class on friday we learned about copyrighting. I found that this focus was not only beneficial in learning, but also applying to my future classroom one day. It was almost overwhelming, the extent of copyrighting, but I think it is better to be safe, than face consequences of fines, etc. I really liked how copyrighting tied into the activities within the classroom-it brought it to reality, since we are in practicum now, and what we can do exactly. I had no idea, that the song "Happy Birthday," is copyrighted and that it is possible that Micheal Jackson renewed that copyright. The lesson definately made me more aware, and not as naive as before. Just amazing!
